Ford lease deals

Ford sets lease payments by model and by ZIP code, and changes them every month. See Ford’s current lease on the model you want, then ask us to quote it on a vehicle we have.

The five numbers in a lease

Where the lease numbers live

Lease terms are set by model and by region, and they change through the year, so the number that matters is a current one for the vehicle you want. This page explains what a lease commits you to — payment, term, due at signing, mileage and wear — so the quote makes sense when you have it in front of you.

  • The monthly payment — what you pay, usually excluding tax.
  • The term — how many months you keep it. Ask what the quote assumes: a longer term with a smaller payment is not automatically the cheaper deal.
  • Due at signing — the cash you hand over on day one. This is the number most advertisements shrink, and a monthly payment quoted without it is half a deal. Ask for the two together.
  • The mileage allowance — and the charge for each mile over it. Check whether the allowance you are quoted is a yearly figure or the total for the whole term, because those are very different numbers and lease paperwork uses both. Then ask what the per-mile charge is.
  • Wear and disposition — you are responsible for wear beyond normal use, and there is a disposition fee when you hand the vehicle back. Ask what it is on your quote and whether it is waived if you buy that vehicle or take another Ford.
Two things a lease quote hides well

First, due at signing and the monthly payment trade against each other — a lower payment usually means more cash up front. Second, the mileage allowance is the term’s total, not a comfortable annual figure; if you drive more than you think, the overage is where a cheap lease stops being cheap.

Buying or leasing

  • Lease

    Leasing suits you if

You drive a predictable, moderate number of miles, you want a newer vehicle every few years, and you would rather have a lower monthly payment than own something at the end.

  • Buy

    Buying suits you if

You keep vehicles a long time, your mileage is high or unpredictable, you want to modify it, or you want the payments to stop one day.

  • Either

    It depends on the program

Some months Ford subsidises the lease harder than the purchase, and some months the reverse. That is worth checking rather than assuming — it changes monthly, by model.

Getting a current lease quote

Two routes, both of them live rather than printed.

  • Ford publishes lease terms per model on ford.com, scoped to your ZIP code. Set the ZIP to 60142 before reading them — Ford will otherwise use wherever it thinks your browser is, and lease programs are regional.
  • Or tell us the model, the trim and roughly how many miles a year you drive, and we will quote the current program on a vehicle we have in stock.

Ford’s current lease offers, by model

Each link opens Ford’s own offers page for that model. Ford shows the lease for the ZIP code it detects, so check it reads 60142.

Lease questions

Why is there no list of lease payments on this page?

Because a lease payment has a short shelf life. Ford re-prices its lease programs monthly and by region, so a table here would be quoting an offer that has moved on — and a payment you cannot get is worse than no payment at all. Tell us the model, the trim and roughly how many miles a year you drive, and you will get today’s figure on a vehicle we have.

Can I put a trade into a lease?

Yes. Trade equity generally goes against the due-at-signing amount, which either reduces the cash you bring or lowers the monthly payment. You can get a valuation before you come in.

What happens if I go over the miles?

You pay for the excess at the rate in your contract — Ford’s published terms this month use $0.25 a mile. It is charged at the end, so it arrives as one bill rather than monthly, which is why it surprises people.

Can I buy the vehicle at the end?

Ford’s standard lease gives you the option to purchase at lease end, at a price negotiated when you sign. Read that figure before you sign rather than at the end.

I want to lease an EV. Does the Illinois rebate still apply?

No. The Illinois EPA rebate is for vehicles you buy, and its own terms exclude rented and leased vehicles. It is $2,000, or $4,000 if you qualify as low income, on a vehicle under $80,000; you apply to the state yourself within 180 days of buying and keep the vehicle for a year. The current cycle runs to 31 December 2026 and pays out while the funds last. If you are weighing a Mustang Mach-E or an F-150 Lightning, that belongs on the buy side of the comparison.
